September 27, 2008 John J. Joyal, 46, of 8929 Eddy Rd., Canastota, passed away Saturday at University Hospital. John was born in Syracuse and was a life resident of the Lakeport area. He was employed as a diesel mechanic at Specialized Diesel in Syracuse for the past 28 years. John was a member and trailmaster for the South Shore Trailblazers. He is survived by his wife of 10 years, the former Jennifer Crouch; a brother, Ted Joyal of Lakeport; two sisters, Maria Joyal of Liverpool and Holly Joyce of Syracuse; three nephews, Logan and Jacob Joyal and Michael DiFabio; five nieces, Megan and Nicole Crouch, Amanda and Cortney Elmy, and Alexa DiFabio; and his "buddies," Bean and Boomer. He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Linda Joyal. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick's Church in Chittenango.
